About (cont)

Manette Community Church is engaging people with the person of Jesus and the purposes of God.

We are affiliated with American Baptist Churches of the Northwest (ABCNW) – over 150 churches working together to grow healthy, mission-focused churches that multiply disciples and churches. MCC actively serves alongside the local business association to present Manette Fest and Winterfest for the community. Established over 100 years ago, we desire to bring the relevancy of Jesus Christ to every generation.

Our Beliefs

The Bible is the inspired word of God and the only trustworthy source for understanding God.

Jesus Christ is God’s Son, existed from the beginning of time; all things were created through him, sent to earth by God to represent God as a man and to give his life for our sins.

The Holy Spirit is a full and equal part of the Trinity (Father Son and Holy Spirit) indwells within the believer and leads us to all truth.

Man is the pinnacle of God’s creation and the only being on the earth that God made in His own spiritual image, with the moral ability to choose right from wrong.

Salvation is an unmerited gift from God. Our disobedient nature eternally separates us from our Creator. No matter how hard we try, we can never earn our way back into God’s presence. Faith in Jesus is the only way to receive forgiveness and eternal life from God.

Prayer is a means of honoring and talking with God.

“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” James 5:16

Purpose

Worship: We are planned for God’s pleasure. We wish to center our lives on God, not self and live a lifestyle of worship for the glory of God. This begins with complete surrender of our life to Christ

Fellowship: We are formed for God’s family. Our desire is to connect with other believers to experience real fellowship.

Discipleship: We were created to become like Christ. We purposely provide an environment to cultivate spiritual maturity and godly character. This includes developing the habits necessary for spiritual growth.

Ministry: We are shaped for serving God. It is healthy to contribute something back by using our talents in ministry.

Evangelism: We are made for ministry. It is critical to communicate God’s love to others and develop a heart for the world. This includes learning to share our faith and participating in a mission activity.
