Diaconate Meeting Synopsis

Finances: Everything looks good, numbers are up, offering boxes are working well.

Financial Peace University: Cost for material plus tax & shipping will be $1315.03, of which $1000 will be reimbursed by class attendees buying their materials ($100 per person or couple). The remaining $315 will come out of 403 Church School Curriculums.

Sunday Nursery Plan: It was decided to hire two nursery attendants – possibly from the 7^th Day Adventist Church so we are not pulling our own members & youth from the Sunday Worship Services.

Diaconate Youth Member: Youth group leaders will encourage interested youth to attend Diaconate meetings one or two at a time. They will be welcome to observe, give input and bring suggestions.

Leadership Training: Thursday September 24 6:00pm, Sunday September 27 12:30. Two hours, two speakers.

Churchwide Speaker/Retreat: Ron proposed hiring a guest speaker for a renewal weekend sometime near Easter.

Assessment: have Charles Revis come do an update assessment in 2010.
